The Sacrament of Mercy

Fr. John Horn, SJ, is one of the co-founders of the Institute for Priestly Formation, the Seminary Formation Council, and rector emeritus of Kenrick-Glennon Seminary.  In this interview, he walks us through his own journey of deepening participation in the Sacrament of Reconciliation. The disciples asked Jesus, "Lord, teach us to pray" knowing that it is not enough to "just pray" -- to "babble as the pagans" -- but also to pray well. So too, as we listen to the interview, let us ask Jesus, "Lord, teach us to confess!"  As we mature in our participation in the sacrament, our lives will be more radically transformed by the great gift of his mercy.
